Compliant with eXtensible Host Controller Interface specification Revision 1.1.The application of ASM3142 includes Motherboard, Desktop PC, Notebooks, Workstations, Servers, Add-in cards, PCI Express based embedded platform.
It uses advance process with low voltage supply, following standard PCI Express/USB bus power management and advance chip power management to reduce total power consumption efficiently under idle/standby state.ĪSM3142 integrates ASMedia self-designed PCI Express/SuperSpeed USB/USB2.0 PHY, supporting in box driver of Microsoft® Windows and various Linux kernels. It also supports backward compatible with legacy USB function and devices, compliant with USB Attach SCSI Protocol revision 1.0, supporting the function of debugport on port A of USB.ĪSMedia ASM3142 also supports the new feature of USB3.1 Gen2, named Multiple INs to achieve fully utilization rate of 10Gbps data rate, taking advantage of the available bandwidth of USB3.1 Gen2 bus.ĪSM3142 supports two USB3.1 Gen-II ports and perform trusting high speed bandwidth with PCI Express Gen-III x2 supporting.
Setup.ASMedia ASM3142 is the next generation Universal Serial Bus xHCI host controller, bridging PCI Express to USB3.1 Gen-II, compliant with USB3.1 Specification Revision 1.0 and Intel eXtensible Host Controller Interface specification revision 1.1. After the computer has rebooted, check the driver version. When installation is complete, the computer automatically reboots. This process should take about one minute to complete. Run command Setup.exe -b -s to start the silent installation. Otherwise, Intel® driver installation log files are stored in the general location of javascript:void(null).
The -report option allows users to change where the installation log file is saved.
To see all available options for the installer, run command Setup.exe?. Change the directory to where you unzipped the driver to in step one, and then change to Driver_Installer directory. Click Yes in User Account Control pop-up window. Open a Command Prompt, cmd.exe, with administrator rights (example: Run as Administrator). Copy and unzip the Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver. To do a silent installation for Intel® USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver in a computer with Intel® 7 Series Chipset Boards or Intel® C216 Chipset, follow the steps listed below:
